Why am I still running this site?

You might ask yourself why this site is still up:

- I don't play Neverwinter Nights nor any other Computer Game anymore (except for some first person shooters occasionally)

- my server isn't running anymore for over 2 years (except for a few days/weeks in between)

- the module hasn't been updated for a while

   (not really since v166, except for some sloppy unofficial versions still laying around on my server)

- I even removed 160 of my 175 MSN contacts which I had still from NWN (most of them seemed to be dead anyway)

- this site doesn't (and didn't) get updated for many months

The answer is simple:

To keep the good ol' memories!

That and the fact that I can test my sloppy web-design skills on this site pretty well ;)

R.i.P. Neverwinter Nights,

small updates to the web-design and IE Death March

As you might have noticed I updated the webdesign a little bit!

I did as well remove lots of Internet Explorer specific hacks from the CSS file. I can't be bothered to make a standard conform website use hacks just that it gets displayed correctly in the Internet Explorer prior to v7.

I'm going to participate in the IE Death March as well - its not necessary to support such an old web browser on a private website anyways...

If you are visiting this website with the Internet Explorer v6 or even an older version, consider upgrading to v7 (or v8 beta if you are adventurous) or try one of the following, better browsers instead:

  * Firefox

  * Safari

  * Opera

New Website Design Launched!!!

I just finished the new Website Design of this site!!

I hope you enjoy it. Bug reports are welcome because CSS still gives me some headache ;)

I haven't tested this site with any Microsoft Browser (i.e. Internet Explorer) but it should work with the latest version! So upgrade your webbrowsers!

PS: You might have noticed that rating sites and pictures is possible now as well.... :)

Happy New Year 2007 to all of you

I'm currently sitting on Gizmos PowerBook G4 and working on my website a bit, lol

I wish a happy new year to all of you out there ;)

I might work on the design a bit within the next days so don't wonder if the page is messed up ^.^.

I'm just a webdesign noobie :p

PS: I just played NWN2 at Shadows PC and I have to say that it really sucks ass! Nice graphics but totally messed up gameplay, hud and a not useable Toolset (at his place - even reinstalled NWN2 completely - but it hides its settings somewhere in the registry so we couldn't reset the Toolset Settings (Window arrangement) which meant I couldn't use any (area) brushes like water etc...)

Working on the Webdesign

I'm still working on the Webdesign... some bugs are fixed, some are still there.

I screwed the idea of making the design auto-adjust to the page width since it screwed up many things (optically) so I optimized this design for 1024x768 pixels (32 Bit Colordepth).

To make sure this site is shown correctly you should use the latest version of your web-browser. If it has been discontinued or it's no more being updated for your Operating System, you should think of switching to Firefox.

Firefox 2.0 should display this website 100% correct because it fully supports CSS (actually there's a bug in FF2.0 on Windows which displays the news site incorrect, lol).

Firefox 2

PS: I'm not online for the next whole week probably and if I'm online I'm not at my PowerMac so therefore can't change the webdesign - if you find any bugs make a screenshot of it and send it to me.

Update: There's a workaround for this bug which works for the Internet Explorer and Safari (not Firefox), but it makes the CSS file 'invalid'... I'd just have to add "word-wrap: break-word;" (MS CSS, not w3c conform) which would prevent the text from escaping its borders. But to keep the CSS file valid I added the lines 'overflow: auto;' which will generate a Scroll-Bar if needed and which will keep the text inside the borders...
